Motivation: Finding another way through -- a lesson learned
So my wife and I decided to take a walk, and we thought our visit to Kiplinger Nature Preserve in Stuart, Fla., was going to be very short-lived.
Instead, this walk taught me a great lesson in perseverance and paying attention.
We got maybe 50 feet down the trail, crossed a wooden walkway, and saw… a morass.
Mud blocked our way — as happens so often here in Florida during the summer, a downpour had turned this nature trail into a nasty hurdle, one we were unprepared to cross.
Though frustrated, we decided to check the trail map and saw another way through the park. This one was much better, and as you see in the video below, we ended up finding a great little bridge.
It was slick going, but in the end, it was a fun little place to hang out.
We’ll be back sometime — probably not during the summer though.
